Masterclass
The courage to connect and resist creates powerful schoolteams. NVR in relation between colleagues and with parents.
Conflicts between authority figures in and around schools can prevent them of being an anchor for the pupils they work with. These conflicts are the joint responsibility of each team member. The headmaster has a special responsibility in these cases. In escalating conflicts instead of strength and cooperation, we often see powerlessness, judging each other, polarisation, isolation… We believe conflicts are not only negative: they can create opportunities for joint growth to become stronger as a team, but this requires a conscious choice and a lot of courage.
In this masterclass we will show how NVR can be a key in this process. How can NVR help authority figures – teammembers including headmasters – in difficult situations to (re)find their own influence and to (re)feel the power of cooperation in relation with each other and with parents? We will present you some case studies and we will do exercises we use in Flemish schools.
